One of the Great Sons of Texas!

We have great pleasure in announcing that we will build a school in honor of one of Texas greatest sons, John Wiley Price, the Dallas County Commissioner for District 3.

His record as a fighter for the underprivileged and for justice is legendary throughout Dallas and the State of Texas. He is the vanguard in the fight for those who are discriminated against in their struggle to be invited to the great table of opportunity.

The village in Africa where we propose to build the school have also struggled to establish a center for educating their children against the odds of poverty, the essentials of life, having no water, no roads, no jobs, no housing, no medical, no schools and no teachers. Here they struggle to learn sitting on rocks for chairs, opening tattered books and writing with twigs on the dirt their letters and numbers.

One of John’s greatest successes was to help broker a ceasefire between racial warring gangs in Dallas some years ago. He main success was to give them a vision, that with access to education and justice, they would be valuable members of society and their communities.

We would like to thank Mr. Russell Fish, another Great Son of Texas, for suggesting and sponsoring the construction of the school in John’s honor.

To build a school in Africa in his honor is a privilege for us and will be a labor of love.
